The ULC Sanctuary Is a dramatic space, with soaring arches and a cathedral ceiling that rises to a height of over 40- feet. Stained glass windows throw many-colored washes of light across the golden oak woodwork.

Constructed in 1954, the Sanctuary has been lovingly preserved by the ULC congregation. The space has excellent acoustics for choral or instrumental performance, or amplified voice.

The space has full livestream capability and is well-equipped with top-of-the-line audio and video equipment, all controlled from the purpose-built back-of-house isolated A/V Booth at the rear of the Sanctuary..

The adjacent Narthex provides direct entry from the intersection of NE 50th Street and 16th Avenue NE. Also directly adjacent to the Sanctuary is the Lounge, which functions as a gracious prefunction and reception area.

Entered off of the Lounge or Courtyard, our sanctuary pews seat 350 (308 on the main level, 42 in the rear balcony).

Our organ was renovated in 2016, with pipes in the front chancel screen and antiphonal pipes in the rear balcony. The organ console also features a controller and keyboard to operate our 14-bell chime in the courtyard belltower (for live input or preprogrammed melodies).
